MTL'S Treasures: 4th edition of Luminothérapie (2013-2014)

Hello there!

MTL's Treasures is a segment where I tell you all the goodies you can find in Montreal. This city is packed with a bunch of events throughout the year and we should enjoy them!

Today I went to Quartier des spectales, an area near the Place des Arts metro station where there are many festivals such as the annual Just for Laughs and International Jazz festivals. Although these festivities occur in summer, there is a couple of things to do there during winter. Luminothérapie is an attraction composed of 7 animations projected on large buildings in Downtown Montreal. I visited the one in the Quartier des spectacles which is considered as the main one due to the additional installation of a luminous field of flowers that changes colors.

I took many pictures so here is a a couple of them!

Say hi to my mom!

One Direction releases designer prescription glasses! #1D

Hey guys!

Okay, so I have a confession... I am a die-hard fan of One Direction.

Yep.

Please do not judge me! One Direction is actually a really good band. Of course, they have their own dirty rumors just like any celebrity has, but I personally love their songs and they are decent and adorable people. They played a major role in many moments of my life where I felt useless. However, everyone is entitled to their own opinion so if you do not like them, I respect it if you respect mine. :)

One Direction is the infamous and charming boyband melting the hearts of countless fans. 2013 was a wonderful year for them: their biopic This Is US was released, thousands copies of Midnight Memories, their third album, were sold in the entire world, and their perfume Our Moment is available in stores. One Direction concluded the year with an exciting release of a new merchandise: Vision Express, a British prescription eyewear store, released a designer line of frames inspired by One Direction! Cool, right?

One Direction + glasses = explosion of cuteness

Sherlock's ''The Sign of Three'' Review (Series 3, Episode 2)

*ATTENTION: there are spoilers for Sherlock (2010). You have been warned.*

Hey guys!

I have posted a review of The Empty Hearse, which is the first episode of Sherlock's anticipated new season. I have watched the second episode, The Sign of Three, and you will be reading my thoughts about it! You can read my first review of the season's first episode here.

As all the fans - or known as Sherlockians - know, the second episode of the latest season involves the wedding of Mary Morstan and John Watson! Throughout the episode, Sherlock handles one of his toughest acts he had to do: delivering a best man's speech! However, a certain incident is about to happen during the wedding and Sherlock must solve it to avoid it to disturb the ceremony.

''How I Met Your Mother'' Season 5 DVD Review

Hello guys!

I spent the whole day at a mall during Boxing Day of 2013. I had planned on which stores I would visit and there was a certain thing I really wanted: a DVD of How I Met Your Mother. The show's seasons 1 to 7 were 7,99$ each at Best Buy, but for some reason I forgot to buy one.

As I thought that the deal was Boxing Day exclusive, I discovered that the deal is still going on and my mom bought me the fifth season as a gift!

WWF Red Panda Adoption Kit

Hey guys!

A couple of weeks ago, I entered a weekly giveaway in WWF (World Wildlife Fund) Canada's Facebook page. They were giving out their adoption kits of several animals such as a giant panda and a giraffe and I was one of the lucky winners to adopt a red panda!

I received my adoption two days ago, but I had to walk a couple of miles in Canada's freezing weather to get it from the post office. Each adoption kit comes with a cute plush of the animal you symbolically adopted, a gift bag, a pamphlet/poster, and a personalized certificate. It has a value of 40$ and I treated as a late Christmas gift for myself!

Sherlock's ''The Empty Hearse'' Review (Series 3, Episode 1)

*ATTENTION: there are spoilers for Sherlock (2010). You have been warned.*

Hey guys!

Sorry for not posting these days, there was this horrible power outage that happened in my apartment and it lasted for nearly two days. I had to stay at my cousins' place and now I have my Internet back! I managed to survive woohoo!

So while staying at my temporary place, I watched The Empty Hearse, the anticipated first episode of Sherlock's third series. Sherlock is a TV show where the infamous consulting detective Sherlock Holmes is involved in solving many tedious crimes with Dr. John Watson in a modern London. It began to air in 2010 and it is a yearly Holiday show where each series only has three episodes. The cliffhanger of Sherlock's survival from his assumed death left many fans such as I striving for the continuation of the events and now that we have it, let me tell you the reasons why this satisfied my needs to know the aftermath.

Introduction (first post!)

Hi there!

My name is Samiha, but people tend to call me Sami in short. I am a 17 year-old college student living in Montreal that loves almost everything. My hobbies are reading, watching shows and movies, listening to music, playing the guitar, going on social media, and shopping. I am really curious and I love to learn many cultures and languages. I am studing in Health now, but I realized that I am not fond of sciences and I see myself as more of a creative and wordy person, so I will be changing my orientation in college.

My goals in life is to become a journalist and, if possible, a translator as well, hence the reason why I created this blog. The tittle The Haven of a Wanderluster implies my desire to travel around the world and discover many cultures which is the definition of wanderlust.

The Haven of a Wanderluster is a blog where you will be entered in a world full of different posts and articles. It ranges from beauty product reviews to reality rants. It is a versatile blog where my personal thoughts and feelings are involved and I want to share them with my readers! I hope all my readers with different interests will like what I will post about.

I also decided on my New Year's resolution: to blog daily and to maintain The Haven of a Wanderluster.
