''How I Met Your Mother'' Season 5 DVD Review

Hello guys!

I spent the whole day at a mall during Boxing Day of 2013. I had planned on which stores I would visit and there was a certain thing I really wanted: a DVD of How I Met Your Mother. The show's seasons 1 to 7 were 7,99$ each at Best Buy, but for some reason I forgot to buy one.

As I thought that the deal was Boxing Day exclusive, I discovered that the deal is still going on and my mom bought me the fifth season as a gift!

Okay, I have to admit, I only watched the first season of HIMYM. However, since I am a very curious person, I read most of the spoilers on the Internet and I did not have any trouble watching the fifth season.

I expected the packaging of the DVD to be bigger, but I guess it is okay. I love the concept of the packaging: all the characters are wearing suits!

The DVDs have all 24 episodes of the fifth season and the main aspects of  the storyline are Barney's and Robin's relationship as a couple, the doppelgangers of the gang, Lily's and Marshall's attempts for having a baby, and Ted's feelings for Robin appearing at the very end of the season. Also, the infamous Slapsgiving is back where Barney is hit by Marshall at every Thanksgiving!

Who wouldn't like to see that?
I felt that the season is hilarious. Many episodes induce thigh-slapping moments such as the Slapsgiving episode and any episode with Barney... wait, that's basically the whole season! There is not one episode that is unfunny. However, I feel that there are no serious events in this season except for Ted's confession to Robin.

Can I add something? Ted Mosby is my ideal man!

This scene is in one of the fifth season's episodes and let me tell you... I really believe that this guy is totally right! I hope someday I get to find someone that dreams big and wishes to love ''the one'' just like me.

Or maybe it's just some cheesy classic Schmosby that I happen to like.

I highly recommend this season if you want to watch something really funny! I am committed to Supernatural and Sherlock and HIMYM takes my mind off from shows that drain me emotionally.

Is How I Met Your Mother your favorite show? If not, what is it? I would like to know and hey, maybe I will discover a new show from you guys!

Take care xox
